DECIDING ON THE RIGHT LOOK: HOMECOMING HAIR-STYLES



Okay, it’s not your wedding day, but it’s a close second, and as a teenage girl, it’s one of the most important events that you will experience. Finding the right hairstyle for Homecoming is vital, after all, you want to look the best and have all eyes on you. So basically when deciding on homecoming hair-styles, you first need to ask yourself a few questions and weight your options. Depending on the length of your hair, some of these questions may be answered for you pretty quickly.

?         Do I want to wear my hair up or down? Most girls find traditional homecoming hair-styles those that are typical up-dos’. But there are so many different up-dos to choose from, now a day; it’s really a broad range. So when asking yourself this question, consider your facial shape. If you have a round face, wear homecoming hair-styles that are high upon your head, so up-do’s are great; longer and narrower face shapes may need more width on their sides, so an up-do may not be the look you need. Or perhaps you should consider the dress that you’re planning on wearing. Most off the shoulder dresses and those that are strapless shows a lot of skin, will you uncomfortable with your hair pulled up, showing even more skin?

?         Do I want to wear my hair straight or curly? Curls are usually considered very soft and romantic, but depending on the site of your homecoming; you may want to consider climate. If your homecoming is going to be outside, then take into account the weather. As most girls know if it’s a humid night, those curls will fall and you will be left with a sticky mess of hair. Some of the prettiest of homecoming hair-styles combine the two looks. Wear your hair sleek and straight in the back and then add some curls around the face.

?         Do I want to wear any type of beads, jewels, flowers, or hair accessories? Often times, homecoming hair-styles incorporate different types of hair accessories, those beautiful beaded and jewel hairpins and combs look great under most lights. This can truly add some flare to homecoming hair-styles, as well. And the best thing about these accessories, they can be worn in up, down, straight, or curly hair.
